Valentine Crafts

Aunt Molly came over to Grammy and Grandpa's on Friday to hang out with us. The girl's hung out with her and Grammy while Gary, Marty and I went to get the new van. While we were gone they made fun Valentines Day crafts!

Aunt Molly provided lots of goodies to make all these fun crafts with...you can tell she's a teacher!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Rylee's class has been learing their letters and letter sounds at school. They have incorporated the book, 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom,' which is just one of Rylee's favorite books - we have 2 copies, one is for the Tag Reader! The kids have made a coconut tree - they make the coconuts on the tree as well as the letters (each one has their first initial) falling from the tree! There are lots of kids whose names start with 'R' as you can see - all of them are girls too! The kiddos have also painted their own trees and covered them in letter stickers.

We're amazed at how much Ry is learning at preschool! She knows ALL of her letters and the sounds that most of them make! She is a smart lil' booger, but we're really impressed with how much they are teaching her!

Friends Day

Thursday was Rylee's 'Friends Day' at preschool! She was so excited to wear her Valentines Day shirt, have a party with her friends, and give each of her friends the goodie bags we made! She got lots of Valentines from her friends and has been showing EVERYONE all of them!

Friends Day Prep

Ry and I spent Tuesday evening working on her Valentines to give to her friends at preschool. She was so excited to write her name on each card! We then put the card into a bag along with other fun goodies for her to pass out to the class at their Friends Day party - also known as Valentines Day!

Loyalty Day

Since the beginning of the new year we have been in a series of topics called 'New Year's Revolutions' at chruch. The sermons have been on how to connect the unconnected to Christ and how to grow together in full devotion to Him. This weekend was about "Building Loyalty." The idea was to wear apparel for a team of which you hold loyalty to. Everyone has a sports team, band, group, etc. that they have loyalty to.

The Laritz family chose to go with a team that we all agree on, well, at least Marty and I agree on. We all wore Detroit Tigers apparel to church Saturday. We looked super cute! Marty even took off his jacket while we were in church, even though we had on almost identical shirts!

Rylee and I were back at church on Sunday. I sported the IU tee while she went for the Mississippi tee at first and then I changed her into another Tigers tee (only because the MS tee was quite small on her!)!

Tiny Dancer

Rylee has started taking dance lessons. There is a dance company who has a studio upstairs at the gym that we take gymnastics at...quite convenient! We do both gymnastics and dance on Friday mornings, dance right after gymnastics. There is a ten minute gap between the two classes which are spent changing leos and getting shoes on, doesn't leave much time for picture taking. These are shots I got during class - once I get one up of her with her dance leo and shoes on, I'll get it up here.

This class that Ry is taking is an intro. class. They do dance, ballet, and what I consider jazz. We had to get tap shoes and ballet shoes. Rylee was so excited about her shoes - she has shown everyone possible!

Hand Me Downs

You know the dress up drawer that I have frequently blogged about? Well, this blog is about that same drawer...

Ry got a chest of dress up clothes for her 3rd birthday. It was filled with fun little skirts and shirts, gloves, shoes, and jewlry. She has gotten a lot of use out of these fun little mix and match pieces, but I belive it's about time we invest in some larger dress up clothes for Miss Rylee and let Macee get some more use out of these - poor Macee is about to have 'hand me downs' for the rest of her growing years!

On one of the days we were stuck at home due to the yucky snow and ice this past week, the girls were into the dress up drawer. Macee had accomplished getting her clothes off so that she too could wear some of the dress-up items. I think they fit Macee a lot better than Rylee nowadays...unless we're training Ry to be a hooch...which we're NOT!
